Job Description

We're on a mission to increase brand heat and establish ASOS as the place to go for new trends. Social media isn't something we just do. It's at the very centre of all our marketing activity and our product design. We're a highly ambitious, energetic and results driven team with a very clear goal. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Talent and Influencer Marketing Lead to be part of rebuilding the ASOS brand and driving fame through incredible talent partnerships for one of the world's most loved and exciting brands in fashion.

This is a really exciting time for ASOS as we continue to scale our influencer and talent programme. Reporting into the Head of Social, PR and Talent, you will be working alongside a VIP and Talent Partnerships Lead and a PR Lead. Together, you will be responsible for creating an unparalleled experience for influencers and talent that fuels excitement and generates brand love.

The ideal candidate is at the forefront of influencer marketing trends and has a creative and innovative approach that can elevate traditional programming with forward-thinking ideas. They will have experience in consumer-facing campaigns to inspire connections and engagement between the brand and target audiences. Additionally, the candidate should be well-versed in existing and emerging social media platforms, knowledgeable about up-and-coming influencers and media outlets, and able to bring fresh, original ideas to position ASOS as a fashion inspiration for 20-something fashion lovers.

You will manage a team and budget and will need to work closely with multiple teams. You should be commercially oriented with strong negotiation skills and have a proven track record of demonstrating social impact on business objectives, as well as experience with embedding a new talent operating model in an e-commerce/fashion brand.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of influencer/talent representatives to identify and build a scalable roster of talent across all touchpoints.
  2. Oversee planning and execution of influencer and talent marketing campaigns, ensuring messaging is consistent and resonates with the target audience.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with influencers and agencies, negotiating partnerships that deliver results.
  4. Stay informed about emerging social media platforms, influencers, and media outlets to identify new brand promotion opportunities.
  5. Develop innovative strategies to position our brand as an industry leader, communicating these strategies to your team and the wider business.
  6. Represent marketing at a senior level within the business on influencer/talent marketing matters.
  7. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure integrated marketing approaches.
  8. Contribute to and align with the central marketing calendar and priorities.
  9. Implement and maintain reporting on influencer marketing initiatives, SOV, and EMV with the Senior Social Strategy and Insights Manager.
  10. Work with agency partners to create an agile operating model, sourcing and onboarding new suppliers as needed.
  11. Ensure all partnerships adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  12. Manage budgets, targets, and campaign execution to meet internal and brand goals.
  13. Line manage direct reports, including their development and training.
  14. This role requires international travel and attending out-of-hours events and networking opportunities.
  15. Handle crisis management as needed.

Qualifications - About You

The ideal candidate will be experienced in Talent and Influencer Marketing within fashion or retail, with proven agency relationships. They should be comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with experience scaling a talent operating model at a fashion brand.

  • Experience managing accounts for large global businesses or agencies.
  • Strong media relations and agency connections within the fashion industry.
  • Deep understanding of influencer marketing strategies and social brand development.
  • Experience managing VIP talent and agency relationships.
  • Comfortable with rapid change and ambiguity inherent in a high-growth environment.
  • Proficiency across all social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to take considered risks in digital media activities.
