A leading consulting firm is seeking a Business Analyst to join their Glasgow team in a hybrid work environment. The successful candidate will analyze business processes, collaborate on project deliverables, and utilize their expertise in data management and quantitative analysis to drive efficiency and profitability. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in SQL and Excel, and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Role : Business Analyst
Location : Glasgow
Work Mode: Hybrid (twice a week from office)
Mandatory Skills : Business analyst profile with Real estate lending, mortgages, quantitative and statistical analysis, Data management, SQL, -monitoring and valuation - working with inhouse PM's,
Secondary Skills - Credit risk
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of current business processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions to enhance efficiency and profitability
- Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring timely and efficient completion of project tasks
- Gather and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for developers and other stakeholders
- Conduct gap analysis to identify areas of misalignment between current processes and desired business goals
- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and insights, presenting findings to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Assist in user acceptance testing, ensuring that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards
- Provide post-implementation support and training to end-users, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and systems
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, proactively making recommendations for improvements to existing processes and workflows
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and interpretation using tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, etc.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
