An established industry player is seeking a Finance Business Partner to support the Director of Group Risk Management. Provide Finance Business Partner support to the Director of Group Risk Management and team
Responsibilities
• Oversight of the financial accounting process for the Group Risk team, with the occasional processing of journal entries
• Completion and submission and monthly management accounts packs in accordance with Group deadlines
• Forecasting of P&L, balance sheet and cash
• Annual budget preparation of P&L, balance sheet and cash
• Timely completion of the balance sheet recs
• Ownership of total Group Insurance charges and associated country charges. Coordinating the activity of the various teams associated with the recharge of Group Risk charges across business units
• Liaison with US risk team to ensure overall alignment to Group Risk processes
• Main point of contact for the Actuaries and responsibility for the provisions balances and accounting
• Lead the financial discussions with Insurers and brokers, to cover premium costs, charges, and associated financial information
• Provide insightful business partner support to the Director of Group Risk Management and assess the financial implications of changes in insurance cover
Requirements
Essential
• Qualified or part qualified accountant
• Ability to deliver results
• Written skills with the ability to produce coherent, accurate and articulate documentation
• Ability to work collaboratively across Group and Business finance teams
Desirable
• Experience of the Insurance Industry
