A Little More About Your Role…

As an Assistant Consultant in the EIA team, you will provide support to manage and deliver environmental consultancy services to a full range of clients. You will assist in coordinating and providing technical input into EIAs, as well as undertaking broader environmental management tasks for various projects.

  1. Assist project managers in coordinating site selection reports for offshore wind farms, communicating with technical specialists to develop mitigation measures.
  2. Support the implementation of the latest digital EIA approaches.
  3. Coordinate land access for EIA surveys, such as archaeological investigations.
  4. Contribute to stakeholder engagement strategies.
  5. Assist in finalizing Environmental Statements for submission.

What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate…

  • A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant environmental discipline with a strong emphasis on EIA and/or SEA.
  • Relevant postgraduate experience in a similar position within the UK or comparable jurisdiction.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with high computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of health and safety standards.
  • Experience or interest in assisting with environmental surveys (e.g., ecology, noise, air quality).
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally if needed.
  • Knowledge of UK environmental and planning legislation related to EIA.
  • Postgraduate qualification in environmental science, planning, or related field.
  • Practical knowledge of technical disciplines relevant to EIA.
  • Membership of IEMA or similar professional body.
