NEW Role - Infrastructure Finance Lawyer 6+ PQE

We are assisting a leading asset manager in their recruitment of an infrastructure / project finance lawyer in London. The team work on average 4 days a week from the office.

The successful candidate will assume a senior, lead role and primarily be responsible for advising on project and infrastructure opportunities sourced by the asset origination team. There may also be opportunities to work on other asset financing transactions in the general finance, structured finance and capital markets space.

Key activities include:

• Assisting with the execution of a wide variety of investments meeting their investment philosophy.
• Providing efficient, effective and high-quality commercially focused legal advice to the asset origination team which will include early analysis and structuring of financing proposals, reviewing and negotiating term sheets and transaction documentation.
• Preparation of investment papers, contributions to committee meetings with senior management and dealing with general queries on existing and potential investments.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years PQE gained from at a top law firm or equivalent in-house role with demonstrable infrastructure / project finance experience gained on a wide variety of assets and have a strong understanding of security concepts. The ability to comprehensively analyse complex financing structures, identify strengths and weaknesses and confidently suggest improvements is essential. Experience advising on projects outside the UK in the USA, Europe and/or Australia is desirable too.
