Job description

Are you a skilled and detail-oriented painter looking for a contract role in the Spennymoor area? We have an immediate opportunity to join a busy new build housing site, focusing on internal snagging of completed plots.

About the Role:

As our painter & decorator, you will be responsible for ensuring the internal finish of new build homes meets the highest standards. Your key tasks will include but aren't limited to:

• Identifying and rectifying any painting and decorating snags.
• Preparing surfaces for painting, including filling and sanding.
• Applying paint, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes to a high standard.
• Ensuring a clean and tidy work environment.
• Working efficiently to meet project deadlines.
• Reporting any significant issues to the site management team.

Relevant Skills / Experience:

• Proven experience as a painter & decorator, ideally within the new build housing sector.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
• Ability to identify and rectify snagging issues effectively.
• Competent in all aspects of internal painting and decorating.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude.
• Own tools and transport may be beneficial.
