Are you a skilled and detail-oriented painter looking for a contract role in the Spennymoor area? We have an immediate opportunity to join a busy new build housing site, focusing on internal snagging of completed plots.

About The Role

As our painter and decorator, you will be responsible for ensuring the internal finish of new build homes meets the highest standards. Your key tasks will include but are not limited to:

1. Identifying and rectifying any painting and decorating snags.
2. Preparing surfaces for painting, including filling and sanding.
3. Applying paint, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes to a high standard.
4. Ensuring a clean and tidy work environment.
5. Working efficiently to meet project deadlines.
6. Reporting any significant issues to the site management team.

Relevant Skills / Experience

1. Proven experience as a painter and decorator, ideally within the new build housing sector.
2. Valid CSCS card.
3. Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
4. Ability to identify and rectify snagging issues effectively.
5. Competent in all aspects of internal painting and decorating.
6. Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
7. Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude.
8. Own tools and transport may be beneficial.
