Technical Architect

We are currently seeking a Technical Architect based in London on a full-time basis, reporting to the Head of Subsection – Business Solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and develop technological architecture/technical architecture roadmaps and processes to manage the technological lifecycle within the organization.
2. Produce strategic technical models and prepare business cases aligned with IT security and quality guidelines, presenting business cases for strategic technical initiatives.
3. Support the implementation of security architectures to minimize IT security breaches, in line with the IT security strategy.
4. Plan effective and future-oriented data storage, sharing, and publishing strategies within the organization, aligned with the solution and enterprise architecture.
5. Compile technology/software development policies and set standards.
6. Manage application assets and direct development efforts to improve solution delivery and agility, working with EA peers to analyze enterprise business context and change requirements across architecture viewpoints, defining the future state of technology architecture.
7. Communicate TA concepts and track progress toward the future state.
8. Run Architecture Review / Decision Board meetings.
9. Assume a technical lead role in implementation projects, guiding team efforts.
10. Guide the creation and evolution of reusable technical patterns and control their usage.
11. Drive digital innovation by leveraging new technologies to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core technology base and IT estate.
12. Coach, mentor, and collaborate with technical experts and EA peers to develop technology architectures that enable new business capabilities and operating models.

Knowledge and Skills

1. Strong project delivery background with at least 7 years of experience in system design, systems integration, or software development as a senior developer or architect.
2. Deep knowledge of the entire software development and product lifecycle, including DevOps principles, UML, and agile practices.
3. Extensive technical knowledge in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture, and cloud architecture, with experience balancing technical options against business and financial constraints.
4. Working knowledge of database technologies such as MS SQL and Oracle.
5. Experience leading and developing Informatica-based ETL architecture.
6. Experience leading end-to-end design, including integration with services like Appian, Azure APIM, and Adobe Experience Manager.
7. Proven track record of successful implementations delivering measurable business value.
8. Ability to evaluate and design data collection, staging, movement, analytics delivery, and data quality solutions.
