Your impact

Jacobs has secured multiple multi-year frameworks and projects with leading clients in the UK, Ireland, and globally. Our Water and Environment team seeks skilled, motivated professionals eager to grow their careers through exciting opportunities in the water industry and beyond.

Successful candidates will join nearly 600 water professionals working on high-profile projects, delivering tasks, designs, and solutions in multidisciplinary, multi-company environments across various project stages, within agreed timeframes and budgets.

We are hiring experienced Electrical Engineers across various grades for our offices in Belfast, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle, and Warrington to support our existing frameworks with UK Water Companies.

We prioritize work-life balance and flexibility, offering hybrid, part-time, and flexible working arrangements to suit individual and business needs.

We value collaboration and believe in the importance of in-person interactions for our culture and client delivery. Our hybrid work policy allows employees to split their week between office/project sites and remote work to perform at their best.

Here's what you'll need

  • Masters Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Chartered Status (CEng) with a recognized Professional Institution
  • Experience in areas such as:
    • Water and/or wastewater networks
    • Water and/or wastewater treatment works
    • Hydraulics
    • Mass water conveyance
    • Control philosophy
  • Enthusiasm for problem-solving and working within a large multinational company
  • Experience in multidisciplinary team coordination and supporting junior staff
  • Interest in line management
  • Proactive attitude to strengthening client relationships and contributing to business growth
