Are you ready to join a team of talented engineers and shape the future of energy infrastructure?

Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Transmission & Distribution team as an Electrical HVAC/HVDC Cable Engineer and work at the forefront of innovation, contributing to the delivery of an exceptional portfolio of energy infrastructure programs and projects through long-term partnerships with key clients.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  1. Perform specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment, understanding software modeling to develop cable design for offshore and onshore applications.
  2. Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established cable design procedures, adhering to industry standards such as IEC, CIGRE, National Grid, SSE.
  3. Develop detailed cable design assignments involving calculations, routing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance for offshore and onshore projects.
  4. Propose solutions to new problems using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
  5. Identify discrepancies in cable design calculations, ratings, and sizing.
  6. Provide guidance and mentorship to graduates and entry-level engineers.
  7. Complete tasks within budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
  8. Perform all primary design elements independently for engineering works.

Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • An electrical/electronic/power engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BSc/BEng, MSc/MEng).
  • Professional qualification in Electrical Engineering (CEng or working towards it).
  • Ability to use software tools like Cymcap, Cableizer, COMSOL for desktop studies and reports.
  • Understanding of HVAC and HVDC transmission principles and requirements management.
  • Understanding of power system functional characteristics.
