We are currently seeking an experienced Commodity Manager to join us at our site in Spondon, Derby on a hybrid basis.

As the leading supply chain solutions business in the aerospace industry, customers are at the heart of our business.

As a Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for creating and implementing commodity strategies, including identifying and developing vendors, analyzing portfolios, and contracting.

You will lead and support a small team of Buyers to sustainably optimize total acquisition costs at regional and global levels.

You will manage a few major supplier accounts, overseeing commodity strategy, supplier contracts, and tactical procurement tasks such as PO management and resolving supplier issues.

Your focus will be on the Machining and Fabrications commodity profile, working with suppliers locally in Derby and the Midlands, as well as globally in India.

About You

You should have at least 5 years of sourcing experience in a technically demanding environment, with significant experience in establishing and developing supplier relationships. Experience in developing and implementing commodity strategies is essential.

You must be an experienced negotiator, demonstrating long-term contractual agreement establishment.

Proven experience managing a small team is required.

Ideally, you will have worked in aerospace, defence, automotive, or pharmaceutical sectors in a purchasing role.

You should be CIPS qualified or working towards it.
