Maintenance Engineer

Location: Peterborough

Salary: £48,000 + Benefits

Shifts: Weekly Rotating (06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join a forward-thinking manufacturing business in Peterborough on a permanent basis. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing process equipment to ensure smooth operations, reduce downtime, and enhance plant performance.

Job Responsibilities

1. To ensure a high standard of maintenance to attain factory performance goals
2. Electrical setup and production support
3. Fault finding and repair of breakdowns
4. To be fully aware of factory safety issues and work in a safe manner at all times
5. Performance of preventive maintenance
6. Fabrication and installation of plant machinery under supervision

Person Specification

What We’re Looking for in a Maintenance Engineer:

1. Recognised electrical apprenticeship (City and Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
2. Experience of Production equipment, maintenance in a diverse factory environment
3. Dual skilled (Electrical/Mechanical maintenance)
4. Good diagnostic skills
5. Electrical/Mechanical maintenance experience
6. Higher qualification (eg ONC/HNC) or equivalent experience
7. Computer literate (stores systems and Maintenance Management Systems)
