Join us as a Cloud DevOps Engineer where you'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence.

In your role, you will collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and address bottlenecks in the software development lifecycle. Design and implement automation tools and frameworks for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment. Strive to embed consistency and reuse in our DevOps estate and gain insight into end-to-end customer contact services and solutions.

To be successful as a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you should have experience with:

• A firm understanding of DevOps / CI / CD in an enterprise context, with proven experience on PaaS and Cloud deployment options.
• Knowledge and experience of the software development lifecycle, ideally with Java or Go-based development teams.
• Proven experience with tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, SonarQube, Docker, and platforms like OpenShift, Kubernetes, AWS.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with CloudFormation or Terraform.
• A passion to improve developer experience by leveraging the latest tools, technologies, and industry trends in the DevOps landscape.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• An automation mindset.
• Exposure to test automation, TDD, and agile delivery practices.
• Understanding of monitoring and observability tools such as AppDynamics, ELK, AWS CloudWatch, AWS XRay, etc.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, able to tailor messages appropriately to the audience.

This role will be based in our Glasgow campus.

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements, devise solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Participation in code reviews and promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Staying informed of industry technology trends and actively contributing to technology communities.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure code quality and reliability.
