Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-class and out-of-class support to pupils with a wide range of learning difficulties or behavioural needs.
• Implement tailored support plans that promote positive behaviour, engagement, and progress.
• Support students in developing emotional resilience, social skills, and independence.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create a nurturing learning environment.
• Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Assist with sensory or mobility needs, where required.
• Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and contribute to the overall welfare of pupils.

Job Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational, care, or SEN setting is desirable.
• A calm, patient and adaptable approach to individual student needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and respond effectively to challenging situations.
• Qualifications in education, health and social care, or psychology are desirable but not essential.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
