Surrey County Council is in search of a skilled and qualified Educational Psychologist to temporarily join its Educational Psychology Service. This role involves working in a collaborative, multi-professional setting to deliver top‑notch psychological consultation, assessment, advice, and intervention. The aim is to support children and young people in schools, early years settings, and specialized provisions. The position requires collaboration with schools, families, and partner agencies to enhance educational outcomes, contribute to statutory SEND processes, and ensure that children and young people receive the necessary support to address their needs.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience as an Educational Psychologist, Senior Educational Psychologist, HCPC Registered Educational Psychologist, Locum Educational Psychologist, SEND Educational Psychologist, or Specialist Educational Psychologist.
Requirements
Essential Requirements Honours Degree in Psychology. Postgraduate Qualification in Educational Psychology. Chartered Status with the British Psychological Society (BPS) or eligibility to obtain Chartered Status. Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Educational Psychologist, or eligible for registration. Experience working with children and young people in educational, childcare, or community settings. Strong knowledge of: SEND legislation and guidance Educational Psychology practice Psychological assessment methodologies Consultation models Inclusive education practices Excellent communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong report writing and assessment skills. Desirable Requirements Experience attending SEND Tribunals. Experience delivering training to schools and education professionals. Experience supervising Trainee Educational Psychologists. Involvement in service development, research, or specialist project work. What's on Offer?
