Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited on behalf of Surrey County Council is seeking an Educational Psychologist for a 3-month contract in Surrey. This role supports schools, early years settings and SEND processes with assessment, consultation and advisory work.

You will collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams, contribute to EHCPs, annual reviews and tribunal preparation, and help develop inclusive practices across services.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in psychology required.
• Postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology.
• HCPC registration or eligibility.
• Experience with children in educational settings.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation and guidance.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological consultation to schools, SENCOs, teachers, parents and partner agencies.
• Conduct psychological assessments and classroom observations.
• Deliver statutory SEND advice within designated timeframes.
• Participate in EHCPs, Annual Reviews and tribunals.
• Support multi-disciplinary teams and contribute to service development.
