Job summary

The University of Sheffield invites applications for a role supporting the Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology (DEdCPsy) initial training. You will supervise trainee Educational Psychologists and help deliver seminars across all year groups, coordinating learning activities within the School of Education.

This part-time 0.8 FTE post offers hybrid working and the chance to contribute to professional development while working with HCPC-registered psychologists.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Psychology and a further qualification in Educational Psychology.
• Fully HCPC registered Educational Psychologist.
• Experience designing and delivering in-service training and supervising students.
• Ability to design and deliver DEdCPsy seminars across all year groups.
• Knowledge of policies, legislation and quality standards relevant to educational psychology practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess and coordinate placements for trainees.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver seminars for the DEdCPsy programme across all year groups.
• Supervise trainee Educational Psychologists and participate in supervision of students.
• Coordinate admissions processes and selection interviews.
• Undertake bi-annual progression reviews with allocated trainees.
• Support Fieldwork Tutors and liaise with local authorities regarding placements.
• Contribute to scholarship education and leadership across the School of Education.
