Job summary

Milton Keynes City Council is recruiting Maingrade Educational Psychologists to join the Milton Keynes Educational Psychology Service. You will work within a friendly, supportive team that values diverse perspectives and professional interests.

The role focuses on early intervention, prevention and collaborative working with children, families, schools and partner organisations. The role is paid on Soulbury Scale A, points four to nine, plus up to three structured professional assessment points.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Psychology or equivalent master’s in Educational Psychology.
• Registration with HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• QT status or relevant experience with children.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality psychological advice for Education, Health and Care needs assessments.
• Plan and deliver evidence-based consultation, assessment and intervention for children and families.
• Develop and deliver training for a wide range of audiences.
• Contribute psychological input to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities panels.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Psychology

Master’s degree in Educational Psychology

HCPC Registration as Practitioner Psychologist

Qualified Teacher Status or relevant experience with children
