Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking an Educational Lead GP to oversee a GP Training Hub at North Cumbria Primary Care, split between clinical sessions and dedicated educational leadership time. The role combines patient care with running the Hub's educational development and supervising trainees in a multidisciplinary setting across NCPC Cumbria.

Qualifications

• Evidence of CPD and revalidation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent patient manner and interpersonal skills.
• Good computer skills and ability to adapt to GP clinical systems.
• Effective leadership and ability to engage staff in change.

Responsibilities

• Provide GP clinical sessions, including surgery and telephone consultations, visits and the duty doctor rota.
• Support and oversee the operational and educational development of the GP Training Hub.
• Support and supervise trainee doctors working within the practice.
• Provide clinical supervision to GP registrars, F2 doctors, medical students and other clinical team members.
• Lead practice clinical meetings and contribute to governance, audit and quality improvement.
• Complete reports for solicitors, insurers and other third parties.
