Cambridgeshire County Council is recruiting a Transport Officer to support the Passenger Transport Team. You will ensure safe, reliable transport for children and young people, procuring services and coordinating with operators and schools.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills, plus experience in procurement/contract management. Flexible office/home balance is expected after induction.

Qualificações

• Educated to higher education level or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Experience with procurement, contract management, commissioning or service coordination would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Procure transport services in line with procurement procedures and contractual requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with transport operators and stakeholders.
• Coordinate transport arrangements to meet the needs of children and young people.
• Monitor service delivery to ensure compliance with contracts and standards.
• Negotiate minor service amendments with operators.
• Investigate and resolve transport queries and issues promptly.
• Support contract management, including performance monitoring.
• Ensure safeguarding requirements and policies are followed.
