Job summary

Surecall Recruitment is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school community in Hertfordshire. You will work under the guidance of the classroom teacher to facilitate learning, support SEN pupils, and foster an inclusive environment so every child can reach their full potential.

You will deliver structured literacy and numeracy support across the curriculum, provide 1-to-1 assistance when needed, and collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to track progress and promote

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learning across primary curriculum.
• Ability to support pupils with SEN and diverse needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork to collaborate with teachers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with lesson delivery and resource preparation.
• Provide targeted academic guidance in core subjects.
• Lead small-group activities and 1-to-1 support for learners.
• Differentiate instructions to meet EHCP requirements.
• Monitor pupil progress and report findings to the class teacher.
• Support safeguarding and pupil wellbeing in the classroom.
• Supervise pupils during non-structured times (assembly, playtime, lunchtime).
• Escort pupils on school trips and extracurricular activities.
