Job summary

The University of Sheffield is inviting applications for the Associate Dean Education to lead the Education pillar within the School Executive Team. You will drive quality in teaching, learning, and student experience and work with professional services to embed student-centred services.

You will role-model leadership, contribute to a broad education strategy, and support development opportunities for staff, ensuring alignment with the University’s strategy and regulatory duties.

Qualifications

• Have a PhD in a subject area relevant to the activity of the Management School.
• Proven track record in high quality research and/or scholarship at professorial level.
• Experience in strategic leadership in a business or management school.
• Ability to lead change and contribute to education strategy development.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in higher education.
• Knowledge of Higher Education regulatory and governance environment.

Responsibilities

• Chair the School Education Committee and lead the School's Education strategy for UG and PGT.
• Develop and oversee delivery of teaching and assessment across programmes.
• Support professional development of staff and promote student experience.
• Collaborate with the Faculty and University to improve education and student outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
