The University of Sheffield is seeking an Education Manager to oversee staff supporting Education processes across taught programmes, ensuring policies and processes meet regulatory requirements and deliver educational excellence.

Working with the School Director of Education and School Manager, you will develop curriculum priorities, ensure programme level alignment, and lead on quality assurance and timetable delivery.

Formación

• Educated to A Level standard with GCSE Maths and English.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A high level of IT literacy, including Excel and ability to learn new software.
• Experience of curriculum management and regulations in line with University governance procedures.
• Experienced line manager who can support colleagues to achieve their potential.
• Understanding of Higher Education environment including Quality Assurance and CMA responsibilities.
• Highly motivated and able to work autonomously with judgement to escalate as needed.
• Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and prioritise effectively.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Ability to develop and implement processes and policies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Education Professional Service function, including line management of staff.
• Lead for School compliance with OfS requirements, freedom of speech, and accreditation processes.
• Inform evidence-based decisions on programme design, approval and delivery.
• Oversee administration of the curriculum, including programme and module development.
• Support development of curriculum priorities with a portfolio-wide approach.
• Management of academic misconduct processes.
• Oversee assessment, digital education, placements, tutoring and timetabling.
• Engage in Schools education annual review and data returns.
• Participate in relevant committees and coordinate with central services teams.
