Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is recruiting a Safeguarding and Compliance Officer to join the Education Effectiveness team. You will deliver safeguarding in education training, work with schools and partners to keep children safe, and support policy implementation across Children and Families Services.

Evidence of knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education, strong communication, and the ability to work independently are essential. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher education or relevant professional development.
• Working knowledge of child protection in education per Keeping Children Safe in Education.
• Experience with schools and agencies on sensitive issues.
• Experience planning and delivering training for diverse audiences.
• Ability to influence policy and practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safeguarding training for a range of education settings.
• Collaborate with LADO and social care to safeguard children.
