Job summary

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a data-focused role to support the Education MIS (Synergy) within the Education Service. The role involves liaising with schools, handling data collection, and ensuring data quality for statutory processes.

The position requires ICT skills, accuracy, and strong communication. It offers a flexible blend of office-based work (at least 3 days) and home working to support end users efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience with ICT systems and data management.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail to maintain data quality.
• Ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting and reconciling data from schools and improve data quality.
• Support end users of the Education MIS, including fault resolution and liaising with the supplier.
• Perform system administration and maintenance tasks on the Education MIS.
• Participate in implementing new modules and testing releases of the system.
• Contribute to maintaining data quality and supporting end users to improve accuracy.
