ABL Health ltd. is seeking an Education Mental Health Practitioner (Qualified or in Training) to join a diverse team in Swindon. You will deliver low-intensity, evidence-based mental health support to children and young people within education settings, working under supervision.

Job Purpose:
As an EMHP you will be joining a diverse team offering both clinical and non-clinical support to children, young people, and their families across Swindon.
You will deliver evidence-based assessments and interventions for children and young people in education settings with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, under expert supervision and as part of a dynamic and evolving mental health support team. As an EMHP you will be joining a diverse team offering both clinical and non-clinical support to children, young people, and their families across Swindon.
You will work in partnership with school/college mental health leads by developing a Whole School and College Approach to mental health within your allocated schools.
Key Responsibilities:
You will work in collaboration with other EMHP’s, CWP’s and mental health professionals, supervisors to deliver 1:1 intervention’s, groups, parent- led interventions, work- shops and staff training.
To assess and deliver outcome focused, low intensity, evidence-based interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, working at all times in collaboration with and giving respect to the education function of the setting in which the post-holder is deployed.
To help children and young people within these settings who present with “as needing more support” to rapidly access more specialist services by engaging with more senior staff in the signposting of referrals.
