Oxfordshire MHST are very excited to be expanding our provision across Oxfordshire. We have two posts available and both will cover school settings across the south of Oxfordshire however our office bases are across all of Oxfordshire mainly central Oxford.
This role will require the candidate to complete the one year Postgraduate Certificate in supervision for Children & Young people's mental health (Low-Intensity) at Reading university, commencing in February 2027.
In line with recommendations outlined by Turpin and Wheeler (2011), supervisor trainees will have the following level of experience:
Low Intensity Supervisors must meet the requriements needed in line with BABCP/BPS registration requirements for CWP/EMHPs. This states a minimum of 2 years' as a Child and Young Person's Mental Health professional, including clinical, therapeutic, or consultative work in a CYP setting (as per BABCP/BPS supervision requirements).
Working within Oxfordshire MHST, your role will be to supervise EMHPs / CWPs and help them to develop their role.
Supervision consists of both Case Management Supervision and Clinical Skills Supervision, following a low intensity model.
