Job summary

Xavier Catholic Education Trust (XCET) is seeking an IT Technician to join its Chertsey IT team. The role covers troubleshooting, supporting staff and students, and keeping IT services reliable and secure across trust schools.

The successful candidate should have strong IT foundations, good communication, and a proactive, solution-focused approach, with a valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel between XCET sites. Apprenticeship development is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Ideally 2 years’ IT support experience, but newly qualified applicants with strong knowledge considered.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality technical support.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across multiple schools.
• Support staff and students and ensure IT services run reliably and securely.
• Proactive maintenance, monitor network performance, and safeguard data.
• Provide on-site assistance across XCET schools and contribute to IT projects.
