Job summary

EDClass Ltd in Dinnington, Sheffield is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide 1st and 2nd line desktop, AV and network support across the organisation. You will manage Windows/macOS devices, MS 365 and Google Workspace, and help ensure secure, reliable access to online teaching platforms for staff and learners on-site.

This role focuses on maintaining teaching booths, deploying hardware, applying security patches, monitoring network health, and upholding KCSIE and GDPR guidelines.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
  • Level 3 IT qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • 1–2 years in a technical support or school IT role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and M365 administration.
  • Experience diagnosing hardware, peripherals, and networks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second line IT support to staff via ticketing, phone and in-person.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, OS, and software faults on Windows, macOS and mobiles.
  • Manage user accounts, access, and mailboxes in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Set up and maintain live teaching hardware and AV equipment.
  • Monitor LAN, Wi-Fi, switches and backup connections; assist with connectivity issues for schools and remote learners.
  • Ensure GDPR/Data Protection compliance and security monitoring; maintain logs and asset records.
