Job summary

turn IT on in Burnham/Slough is seeking an ICT Consultant with a flair for technology and a commitment to excellent customer service to support schools.

You will maintain IT hardware and services across school sites, install software, provide technical support, and help raise ICT standards to improve teaching and learning through ICT solutions.

The role is full-time with a salary of £28,000–£32,000, with benefits including a pension scheme and other employee support programs.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in ICT Technician/2nd line support, preferably in education.
• Strong technical background in IT hardware and software installation across networks.
• Excellent customer service and the ability to explain technical issues in layman’s terms.
• Full UK driving license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Resolve and manage technical issues that impact the running of the school’s functions with robust solutions.
• Install or repair computers with standardised applications and networking software, diagnose and solve problems.
• Respond to a range of technical duties related to the computer network and desktop services, including upgrading installations (desktops, iPads, printers, phones, scanners, projectors, AV equipment).
