Job summary

King’s Group Academies is seeking an HR Advisor to join our Central People Team, delivering proactive HR advice to school leaders and managers across our Trust. You will own a varied employee relations caseload, guiding investigations through to hearings, advising on disciplinary, absence and performance matters, while collaborating with the People Operations Team to improve policies and templates.

The role requires UK employment law knowledge, TUPE experience is advantageous, CIPD Level 3 or

Qualifications

• You have proven experience in an HR Advisor or employee relations role with complex cases.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, employee relations and collective bargaining.
• Experience working within a trade union environment.
• Ability to coach and challenge managers with robust advisory support.
• Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied caseload.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Minimum CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards).
• If applicable, CIPD Level 5 or above, a degree in HR/Business, and TUPE experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality HR advice and support to school leaders and managers across the Trust.
• Own and manage employee relations caseload from initial advice through to hearings and appeals.
• Guide investigations, draft correspondences and support hearings and appeals.
• Promote best practice, maintain accurate case records and ensure fair, inclusive people management.
• Provide wider HR advice and coaching to managers to develop confidence and capability.
• Travel between schools to support managers and meetings.
