Wirral Metropolitan College is seeking an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Officer to join our team. This full-time, permanent role offers a salary starting at £31,410 per annum and 35 hours per week.

The post supports ALS services, coordinates EHCP reviews, and engages with students needing SEND funding, under SEND Code of Practice guidance. A relevant degree and teaching qualification are required.

Competenze

• Must have a degree or equivalent qualification.
• Teaching qualification required.
• Minimum Grade C (4 or above) in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Postgraduate qualification in SEND/Inclusion preferred.
• Substantial experience working with people with learning difficulties/disabilities in education.

Mansioni

• Assist ALS Manager to uphold EHCP service standards.
• Coordinate reviewing and maintaining EHCPs.
• Complete EHCP reviews within statutory timeframes.
• Respond to EHCP consultation requests promptly.
• Liaise with ALS Tutor team to identify students needing High Needs Funding.

Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Officer

We are looking for an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Officer to join our team. This is a35 hours per week,full-time, permanent role offering a salary starting at £31,410per annum.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities:

• To assist the Additional Learning Support Manager in ensuring that ALS service standards are consistently upheld with regard to EHCPs
• Coordinate the reviewing and maintaining of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• To complete EHCP reviews within the statutory timeframes, in accordance with the SEND Code of Practice (2015)
• To respond to EHCP consultation requests in a timely fashion, in accordance with the SEND Code of Practice (2015)
• To liaise with the ALS Tutor team to identify potential new students who have an EHCP and indicate those students who will require High Needs Funding (HNF)

Skills and Qualifications:

• A degree or equivalent qualification
• A teaching qualification
• Minimum Grade C (4 or above) in English and Maths or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification in a SEND / Inclusion related area
• Substantial successful experience of working effectively with people with learning difficulties/disabilities in an education support capacity
• Knowledge of SEND reforms, Code of Practice and EHCP process
• Experience with EHCP processes, including consultations, reviews and applications for new EHCPS
