Job summary

Rutland County Council is seeking an enthusiastic SEND, Inclusion and Learning Support Officer to join the SEND, Inclusion & Learning Service. You will provide essential business and operational support, helping to deliver statutory education duties and maintain budget monitoring processes across SEND and learning services.

The role involves coordinating funding arrangements, managing administrative tasks, and supporting school admissions.

Qualifications

• Experience in business support or administrative role
• Proven ability to monitor budgets and manage finances
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to prepare reports and notes
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail
• Experience maintaining electronic filing systems and confidential data
• Ability to advise customers and stakeholders
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners

Responsibilities

• Provide business and operational support to SEND, Inclusion & Learning Service
• Support delivery of statutory education duties and funding coordination
• Assist with budget monitoring and financial administration
• Line manage Education and Childcare Co-ordinator
• Oversee administration and payment processes for early education funding
• Coordinate Free School Meal eligibility checks and entitlement processes
• Support school admissions and grant monitoring for Head of Virtual School
• Administer DfE grant-funded initiatives
