Job summary

The Harris Federation is seeking an experienced Quadrant Compliance Manager to lead compliance across the South Quadrant in London. Working with the South Quadrant Assistant Director and Academy Principals, you will develop robust compliance processes and drive best practice at both quadrant and academy levels.

You will oversee statutory compliance, health and safety, data protection, safer recruitment, and asset contracts, with regular travel to academy sites.

Qualifications

• At least five years' experience in an office environment.
• At least two years' experience of managing a team.
• Education to degree level or equivalent.
• Good verbal and written communication and stakeholder work.
• Knowledge of Microsoft software packages.
• Secure knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Secure knowledge of human resources legislation.
• Basic knowledge of financial procedures.
• Knowledge of procurement processes.
• Knowledge of key principles of staff management (desirable).
• Experience in an inner-city academy or educational establishment (desirable).
• Professional qualification CIPD or equivalent to NVQ Level 4 (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead on compliance work across the South Quadrant and ensure all academies are compliant with statutory requirements at all times.
• Ensure specialist staff in each academy are supported, developed and challenged to ensure local responsibility for compliance.
• Provide specialist professional development in areas of compliance for academy-based staff.
• Liaise with Federation central team to ensure compliance issues or concerns are dealt with quickly and effectively.
