Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking a General Assistant to join our education catering team. You will assist in preparing and serving meals, ensure dining areas are clean, and support both front and back of house operations while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

You will participate in mandatory training, work in a flexible term-time schedule, and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for students and staff at education settings.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or catering environments is preferred.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices in kitchens and dining areas.
• Willingness to complete mandatory training and courses on time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of lunch and snacks according to menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of front of house areas and organise dishes and utensils.
• Maintain back of house cleanliness including washing up, sweeping and mopping.
• Follow cleaning rotas, health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure proper food handling and storage to prevent contamination.
