Job summary

Nexus Multi Academy Trust runs 19 SEND and mainstream academies and is seeking a central team education leader. The postholder supports Headteachers and Executive Leaders across the Trust, evaluating how the quality assurance framework affects leadership, governance, wellbeing and pupil outcomes.

The role emphasizes SEND focus, a non-term-time contract and turning emerging research into practical improvement across the Trust, with a strong emphasis on professional growth and system leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience as a school leader with a track record of improvement.
• Ability to translate evidence into practical improvement strategies.
• Experience evaluating governance, wellbeing and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, challenge and assurance to Headteachers, Executive Leaders and Trust colleagues across the schools
• Evaluate the impact of the quality assurance and improvement framework on leadership, governance, staff wellbeing, pupil experience and outcomes
• Use evidence-informed practice, professional dialogue and robust evaluation to drive improvement
• Horizon-scan for emerging research, innovation and best practice
• Translate educational evidence into practical, sustainable improvement strategies
• Drive innovation across the Trust
