Position Title: EDS CAD Design Engineer

Duration: Contract

Location: Woking, Surrey

OUTSIDE IR35/Hybrid 3 days onsite.

*Applicants MUST have proof of immediate, on-going and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK and travel within the EU.*

About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM, based in Whitley, who are seeking a EDS CAD Design Engineer to join their team

Essential Criteria:

• To support the Electrical Systems department with electrical wiring harness design.
• Proven experience 3-5 years as EDS Design Engineer for an OEM or Tier1 supplier
• Familiar with Wiring harness design, change management process, DFM, vehicle assembly process, 2D Drawings and vehicle electrical architecture
• Ability in troubleshooting, issues resolution, documentation and customer communication
• Receive and analyse customer data, requirements and progress with 3D design proposals
• Establish best WH routing and minimise quality risks
• Work with Project engineers and systems to complete full vehicle electrical wiring harness design
• Support digital and physical Design reviews, raise concerns and support issues resolution
• Lead 3D design freeze and gateway releases
• Complete all relevant documentation and reports
