About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM, based in Whitley, who are seeking an EDS CAD Design Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities include:

1. Supporting the Electrical Systems department with electrical wiring harness design.
2. Applying proven experience of 3-5 years as an EDS Design Engineer for an OEM or Tier1 supplier.
3. Familiarity with wiring harness design, change management processes, DFM, vehicle assembly, 2D drawings, and vehicle electrical architecture.
4. Troubleshooting, issue resolution, documentation, and customer communication skills.
5. Receiving and analyzing customer data and requirements, and progressing with 3D design proposals.
6. Establishing optimal wiring harness routing and minimizing quality risks.
7. Collaborating with project engineers and systems to complete full vehicle electrical wiring harness design.
8. Supporting digital and physical design reviews, raising concerns, and aiding issue resolution.
9. Leading 3D design freeze and gateway releases.
10. Completing all relevant documentation and reports.
