Job summary

Bloomsbury Education is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Editor with at least two years of editorial experience to join our team. You will work on teaching resources, professional development titles and home learning, managing book projects from commission to publication.

Reporting to the Head of Education and collaborating with the editorial team, you will support commissioning and senior editors while developing your editorial skills in a small, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• At least two years of editorial experience is required.
• Excellent English language skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines and manage schedules and budgets.
• Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of print procedures and printing needs.
• Awareness of cost limitations and profitability of a project.
• Demonstrable experience with education publishing.

Responsibilities

• Manage individual book projects from commission to publication.
• Assist and support the commissioning team and senior editors as required.
• Progress your editorial skills within a small dynamic team.
