Bloomsbury Education is seeking an enthusiastic, well-organised Assistant Editor with at least two years’ editorial experience to join our small dynamic team publishing exciting books for teachers, parents and children. The role offers a hybrid working pattern in London, with 2 days in the office and 3 days at home, and a salary of £28,000–£30,300 per year.

Bloomsbury Education is looking for an enthusiastic, well-organised Assistant Editor with at least two years’ editorial experience to join our small dynamic team publishing exciting books for teachers, parents and children. The list includes teaching resources, professional development titles and home learning.
Reporting to the Head of Education and working closely with the editorial team this role offers the opportunity to progress your editorial skills and manage individual book projects from commission to publication, as well as assisting and supporting the commissioning team and senior editors as required.
The role is a full-time, permanent position
The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). Allocated office days for this role are: Monday & Tuesday
This position is eligible for Bloomsbury’s Rental Deposit Loan Scheme. To assist candidates who want to start and to establish a career in publishing, Bloomsbury offers an interest‑free rental deposit to support securing somewhere to live. The rental deposit loan can be up to £3,000 and will be paid back over 2 years.
