Elsevier in London is seeking an Editorial Process Manager for Heliyon to coordinate manuscript flow from submission to publication, ensuring quality, integrity and efficiency of the editorial process within a global team.

The role requires a BSc in life/medical/physical sciences, sharp analytical skills, attentive detail, strong collaboration and the ability to work independently in a hybrid office/home setup.

Qualifications

• BSc in life, medical, social or physical sciences required.

Responsibilities

• Assess newly submitted manuscripts for ethical and scientific compliance and completeness.
• Review to-be-accepted manuscripts for publishing and ethical standards.
• Spot-check external editors and provide structured feedback to internal colleagues.
• Support technical queries from external editors.
• Contribute to chasing pending tasks and managing backlog.
• Assist in evolving editorial processes as the journal develops.
