Job summary

Lumacron Technology is expanding its European HQ in Edinburgh and seeks a Quality Assurance Test Engineer to design, verify and implement test suites for flagship network monitoring products. You will lead QA across functional, non-functional, system, performance, regression and security testing and build automated suites while collaborating with software, firmware and hardware teams.

We are a small, agile team focused on high-quality products and rapid delivery.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent discipline or relevant industry experience.
• 5-10 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to comply with UK GOV National Security Vetting Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers to develop effective strategies and test plans.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes and experience with CI/CD automated test tools/methodologies (e.g. Jenkins).
• Detect, track, and verify software defects and inconsistencies.
• Execute test cases (manual and automated) and analyze results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving, communication and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work to tight timescales, individually and collaboratively.
