Zusammenfassung

Rowden is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer (Mid to Principal) to join its expanding ML team in Bristol. You will develop and deploy AI systems across edge and embedded environments, collaborating with software, hardware and systems teams.

The role covers model training, evaluation, optimization, and MLOps, with an emphasis on production-ready solutions. A hybrid work model is offered, with at least 3 days on-site in Bristol and eligibility for SC clearance.

Qualifikationen

• Proven delivery of ML systems in real-world settings.
• Strong grounding in ML/DL and related maths.
• Strong Python skills and good software engineering habits (version control, testing, debugging).
• Excellent communication and ability to mentor and bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
• Degree or higher in ML/CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• PhD in AI/ML/CS is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Own and ship ML in production: from R&D to robust deployments on edge/embedded hardware.
• Train and adapt models for real-world use cases.
• Scale training and inference workloads across GPUs (multi-GPU/multi-node).
• Profile, optimise and debug ML systems across code, data pipelines and hardware.
• Design evaluation pipelines, benchmarks, test sets and feedback loops.
• End-to-end ownership: data collection/curation, feature engineering, training, evaluation, deployment.
• MLOps/LLMOps: CI/CD for models, containerisation/orchestration, monitoring.
• Cross-team collaboration with software, systems and product teams.
• Establish pragmatic data pipelines with provenance and reproducibility.
• Mentor others and raise engineering standards.
