A leading company in the maintenance sector is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Engineer in London. The role involves providing maintenance services, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates should have relevant qualifications and experience in the building services industry, with a focus on electrical and mechanical maintenance.
This role involves providing first response and self-delivery of maintenance and engineering services for the MSD maintenance contract portfolio. The engineer will attend sites where subcontractors are required to complete specialist works, supervise when necessary, and identify requirements for additional works when planned and reactive works cannot be completed initially.
The responsibilities include completing electronic and hard copy documentation to evidence completed works, conducting surveys, audits, and reviews of building assets to assist with report compilation, and ensuring company values are observed throughout work activities.
The engineer must be available for overtime and call-outs as required, perform scheduled maintenance and repairs of building services assets according to contract specifications, diagnose faults, and complete repairs at first response or advise on courses of action. Monitoring plant, equipment, and systems during work to ensure service continuity is also essential.
Additional duties involve researching manufacturer manuals and supplier databases to provide specific information to the service team, ensuring that alternative products are fit for purpose, conducting dynamic risk assessments, and escalating concerns to line managers when safety cannot be assured.
Minimum qualifications include:
Experience of over 2 years in providing engineering and maintenance services within the building services industry is required. Candidates should be fully conversant with electrical and mechanical maintenance processes and procedures, possess basic IT skills, and hold a full driving license where applicable.
