Are you a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician looking to make a real difference? Hemsby Surgery, part of The Coastal Partnership, is seeking a dedicated individual to join our friendly and supportive team. If you're hardworking, have excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for accuracy, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support the practice in a wide range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective use of medicines. Your duties will include undertaking medicines reconciliation in accordance with practice protocols and updating patients' medical records accordingly. You will contribute to the achievement of prescribing targets such as the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF), Prescribing Improvement Plans, and audit outcomes. Working closely with the Practice Clinical Pharmacist, you will help review and improve repeat prescribing systems and support the development of Standard Operating Procedures to enhance safety and efficiency. You will offer advice on medicines use to clinicians, care home staff, patients, and carers to promote medicines optimisation and cost-effective prescribing. Your role will also involve supporting medication reviews, responding to medication queries, participating in audits, handling prescriptions safely, and advising on sourcing and managing medicines. You may also carry out home or care home visits as required and provide support to the practice dispensary team. Effective liaison with wider Primary Care Network (PCN) pharmacy teams will be key in ensuring high-quality, coordinated patient care. Additionally, you will manage your workload independently, contribute to administrative tasks such as data entry and communication, and maintain a positive, patient-focused approach across the team.
At The Coastal Partnership, we're dedicated to helping you reach your full potential, fostering confidence in your patient care and pride in your outcomes. Our goal is to be the preferred choice for both patients and staff. While we've earned a CQC good rating, we're continually evolving.
