Production Supervisor

Job Overview

My client is a manufacturer of interiors for the automotive industry and is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team on a 3-shift pattern.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing a team of 15 to 25 operators per shift
• Ensuring QCD indicators meet customer expectations
• Defining QCDP targets with other shift supervisors and the UAP manager for improvements (ppm, pph, TRS, absenteeism, accidents, ideas)
• Monitoring performance and reporting data at shift end
• Managing resources to achieve results, including adjusting headcount
• Reacting to problems with containment, support, and corrective plans
• Replacing GAP leaders when necessary
• Driving continuous improvement activities, including team feedback, performance areas, teamwork, problem-solving groups, and workshops (5S, Hoshin, TPM, SMED, 6 Sigma)
• Ensuring daily audits of standardized work and corrective actions
• Conducting weekly audits with GAP Leaders
• Aiming to dedicate 70% of time to improvement actions
• Managing daily operations with a permanent shop floor presence
• Planning headcount and shift allocations
• Coaching GAP Leaders and team members
• Supporting problem resolution and enforcing discipline, safety, and policies
• Developing the team through recruitment, induction, training, coaching, and performance reviews

Job Requirements

• Experience in automotive manufacturing
• Experience in a supervisory production role
• Experience with management systems
• Experience managing logistics operators
• Living within commuting distance to Litchfield
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights
