The Role
As a Test and Integration Lead, you will provide expertise in Test and Integration Engineering across the Skynet programme, reporting to the Project Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ITEA governance, test facilities, and test engineering team in liaison with the Requirements and Acceptance Lead and Service Assurance Manager.
- Lead activities to achieve the Integration Verification and Validation (IV&V) Strategy, in accordance with the Customer Integration, Test, Evaluate, Acceptance Plan (ITEAP), and associated engineering processes.
- Represent the Programme at the Test and Evaluation Working Group (TEWG). Lead and advise on Test and Compliance activities, including generation of test documentation, schedules, and reporting for FAT, SAT, Installation Inspections, IT and Security Health Checks, HAT, Sea Acceptance Trials, and Customer Acceptance Events.
- Ensure test activities align with other project deliverables and maintain the quality and integrity of ITEA evidence to support compliance with Contract Requirements.
This role is full-time and involves regular travel to the specified sites, with home working arrangements.
Essential Experience
- Extensive systems engineering experience with specialization in IV&V and Transition to Operation at Lead Practitioner/Expert level.
- Knowledge of UK MoD practices and standards.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards for telecommunications systems, including bespoke and COTS software.
- Experience in delivering in a SOSA environment.
- Leadership experience in Test Teams.
Qualifications
- Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Telecommunications or another engineering discipline. Applications from experienced individuals without formal qualifications are also welcome.
Security Clearance
- The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.
