Job description

Our Finance team in Milton Keynes is recruiting for a Trainee Management Accountant on a full-time, three-year contract. This role offers the opportunity to study towards a CIMA or ACCA qualification.

Responsibilities include:

1. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager and supporting the management accounts function for accurate reporting.
2. Calculating and processing accounting adjustments and journals during month-end reporting, ensuring compliance with reporting timelines and accounting standards.
3. Preparing and reviewing balance reconciliations with relevant stakeholders.
4. Collating and preparing financial forecast data for upload into the SAP finance system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
5. Managing audit queries and delivering required documentation promptly.
6. Supporting wider finance activities with ad hoc data and analysis requests.

Skills and qualifications:

1. Achieved ACCA Diploma in Accounting & Business (RQL Level 4), AAT professional Diploma, or a relevant degree in accounting, finance, or business.
2. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
3. Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
4. Strong relationship-building skills with key stakeholders.
5. Effective communication skills and a process improvement mindset.
