Job Title: Maintenance Assistant

Location: Warren Lodge Care Home

Salary: up to £14.55 per hour dependent on experience

Contract: Permanent Contract - 24 hours per week

Shift pattern: 3 days per week (24 hours) - Flexibility required for days

As a Maintenance Assistant at our Care Home, your primary responsibility will be ensuring that our facilities remain fully functional. You will maintain buildings and equipment effectively while complying with all relevant Bupa Standard Operating Procedures, legislation, and industry best practices. Your role is crucial in ensuring our accommodation meets Bupa’s cultural and brand values.

Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role

• Main duties of this role is to assist the Maintenance Operative with painting and decorating and gardening tasks, so previous experience in these areas is essential.
• Some understanding of building services including, heating, hot and cold water distribution, ventilation, electrical distribution and plumbing.
• Some understanding of building fabric and its maintenance.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Computer literate.
• Good Customer service skills.
• Be flexible to meet changing demands within the care home.
• Practical ability and experience in painting and decorating.
