Overall Purpose of Role

Working in the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), the role involves coordinating and scheduling major maintenance tasks to ensure fleet availability. The position requires effective communication with stakeholders and data gathering for future planning.

Principal Responsibilities

The CAMO Maintenance Planner is responsible for:

1. Ensuring maximum aircraft availability for contracted flight operations by organizing maintenance schedules.
2. Providing fleet status updates, including hours, location, serviceability, defects, and maintenance timelines.
3. Developing a 24-month maintenance plan detailing scheduled major work.
4. Collaborating with Flight Operations and Commercial teams to align the plan with flying activity forecasts.
5. Working with maintenance planners and managers to ensure plan deliverability.
6. Incorporating aircraft import/export, lease returns, and modifications into the plan.
7. Allowing sufficient buffer time to prevent disruptions from unscheduled work.
8. Developing scope of work for scheduled maintenance, including defect rectification, directives, and modifications.
9. Tracking scheduled maintenance tasks to minimize operational impact.
10. Assisting management with aircraft movement decisions based on the plan.
11. Planning for modifications and directives to ensure efficient implementation.
12. Coordinating with parts, tools, and data availability for modifications.
13. Monitoring Part 145 performance to inform future planning and strategy.
14. Assessing turnaround times for major inspections and other performance metrics.

Person Specification

Qualifications: Good education including Maths and English.

Experience: Preferably in aviation maintenance planning or aircraft airworthiness management with strong administrative skills.

Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with SAP or RAMCO; knowledge of aviation regulations; team-oriented; understanding of aircraft maintenance programs; commitment to safety and integrity.
